Il Comitato Glaciologico Italiano

The Italian Glaciological Committee (CGI) has its own statute as every associative agency (PDF). In 1922, the statute defined the different categories of members, the election procedure, the institutional appointments and their duration.
Members of CGI are individuals and agencies operating in the field of glaciology and related topics (view list of CGI Members from 1914 to 1977).

The charter that is in force today (view PDF) allows a formal distinction between:

permanent members: individuals representing agencies of national relevance supporting research activities related to the CGI.
